Vurex holds the buyer's funds in an encrypted escrow vault. The vendor knows the buyer has paid and can safely ship the item. The buyer knows their money won't be released to the vendor until they receive and inspect the order.

Settlement is automated. The moment the buyer clicks "Confirm Delivery & Release Funds" on their tracking page, funds are transferred instantly into the vendor's linked bank account.

Either party can open a dispute from the transaction page. Vurex dispute mediators review uploaded photos, shipping receipts, and courier logs to issue an impartial refund or release decision within 24 hours.

Overview of Escrow

Vurex is a social commerce escrow product provided by Vaultr Technologies Ltd. Our escrow service is designed to eliminate trust deficits between buyers and sellers in peer-to-peer and social media marketplaces by securely holding funds until transaction terms are successfully met.

The Escrow Lifecycle

Payment Deposit: When a buyer initiates a transaction, they pay the agreed amount into the secure Vurex escrow account. The merchant is then notified that funds are successfully secured.

Fulfillment & Delivery: Once payment is confirmed in escrow, the merchant is authorized to ship the physical item or deliver the digital service to the buyer.

Inspection Window: Buyers are granted a strict time-bound window from the confirmation of delivery to inspect the item or verify the service.

Fund Release: If no disputes are raised within the inspection window, the escrow automatically releases the funds to the merchant's verified bank account, minus applicable platform service fees.

Dispute Management

If a buyer encounters issues, such as receiving a damaged item, the wrong product, or non-delivery, they must raise a dispute within the active inspection window.

Both parties are required to submit supporting evidence, including tracking receipts, unboxing videos, or chat logs, for platform review.
